dc.description.abstractenglish	Among multiple hand evaluation parameters, muscular strength occupies a rather important place and, functionally speaking, handgrip strength measure is a precise and reliable indicator. This research work’s main interest is to describe the handgrip strength of healthy workers in the city of Manizales, so that it will be used for reference whenever measuring handgrip strength on healthy individuals and, in addition, that allows comparison with individuals suffering any kind of superior-member injury. This is a descriptive work aimed to establish handgrip strength parameters for both hands in two hundred healthy workers in the urban area of Manizales’ municipality, measuring with a hydraulic Jamar dynamometer on more-than-20-year-old individuals, from September to November 2007.	spa
